During the sixteenth century, the Italian peninsula, in in its plurality
political and cultural, was the stage for different approaches to reforming
ecclesiastical reform, of cenacles that looked toward the Reformation taking place beyond the Alps, and likewise of activities for the religious standardization and disciplining of the
population. The intensive seminar aims to introduce this broad landscape and the history of its interpretations in both “secular” and theological spheres.
Program
The course of the intensive seminar will be characterized by the
succession of lectures and laboratory moments.
It is possible to participate both in presence and online.
