The opening week of the courses for this new academic year will be dedicated to intercultural theology

For several years now, the Methodist, Baptist and Waldensian churches have become increasingly international: sisters and brothers, coming from the four corners of the world, have brought new lifeblood and, with it, different spiritualities that enrich our traditional theological approach, while at the same time asking us to develop a new reflection on ourselves and on our preaching: how can we develop a theological discourse in the multicultural context reinvigorated by globalisation?

This is why we would like to dedicate to intercultural theology the week that

traditionally inaugurates a new year of courses, drawing on the experience we have accumulated in the two editions of our Master's Course "Theology and Diakonia in Intercultural Perspective".

As can be seen in the programme (attached), lectures by Italian and foreign lecturers, specialists in the subject, are alternated with meetings of a more experiential nature.

The programme is open to all our students, at all levels, and the lectures can be followed on zoom.

By 15 September we need to know who will book for the study trip to Castel Volturno (by writing to master.segreteria@facoltavaldese.org and sending a deposit of 15 Euros), when Prof. Paolo Naso and Dr. Donato di Sanzo will accompany us to get to know the reality of this forgotten corner of immigration Italy, a melting pot of intense human experiences and an intercultural laboratory.

The contribution for the entire programme that we ask of non-residential students is 30 Euro (plus the cost of the trip to Castel Volturno).

Participation in the entire session is worth 10 credits, 5 if you do not attend the in-presence activities.

For LT, LST and Centro Melantone students, participation in the week is

compulsory (for non-residential students, only the lectures are compulsory).

The events will also be offered online.

The credentials and access modes must be requested from the secretariat (segreteria@facoltavaldese.org) at the time of registration.

Please find attached the poster and the detailed programme.
