Lectures are held on 11, 25 November, 9 December

PRESENTATION

When did the canon of the Bible originate in the Jewish and Christian traditions? Why at a certain point in history, almost simultaneously, do Jews and Christians feel the need to clearly identify texts that are normative of their respective faiths? Professor Schröter, an expert in this field, will guide us on this path that takes us into the fascinating world of ancient literature, between 'canonical' and 'apocryphal' texts

Lectures are in German with simultaneous translation
